Founder & Director
Born and bred in West Sussex, Oliver read Music and was Organ Scholar at Jesus College, Oxford. From there he went as Assistant Organist to Ely Cathedral Girls' Choir, taking the MMus in Choral Studies at Cambridge and holding the position of Graduate Organ Scholar at Selwyn College. He is currently Director of Music at the Collegiate Church of St Mary, Warwick, and Choral Director at King's High School, Warwick, having been Sub-Organist at Portsmouth Cathedral and School Organist at The Portsmouth Grammar School until the end of 2017.
Oliver has toured much of mainland Europe and the East coast of the USA, variously as conductor, accompanist and singer, has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and 4, and remains an active recitalist with recent venues including Westminster Abbey, Truro and Westminster Cathedrals, St Paul's Anglican Cathedral in Malta, Tallinn Cathedral in Estonia and Kerpen, Germany. He is an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists.
Alongside Cathedral and School duties, Oliver takes great delight in accompanying performers and is particularly fond of English song (Finzi, Quilter, Michael Head and the like) and cabaret-style songsters such as Kit and the Widow, Fascinating Aida, and Flanders and Swann.
